The increase in sales of erectile dysfunction drugs in the Chinese market has been exacerbated by the surge in new drug sales in the United States. In April, Viagra, the drug for impotence in men, surged in demand as the U. S. government sought to make sure its drug didn’t face stiff competition from generic versions of drugs such as Cialis.
A spokesman for the U. Department of Health and Human Services said the government was still reviewing the case.
“We are working with manufacturers to determine if they have had an adequate regulatory review before making the final decision,” the spokesman said.
